The Curl Doctor (And Oprah.com) Love Quiet Calm Curl Control. Here’s Why

So this just happened: Quiet Calm Curl Control was just named in the January issue of Oprah Magazine as a go-to cream for naturally curly B and C waves! We talked to The Curl Doctor, Shai Amiel himself, on his favorite way to use our shea butter enriched cream on his curly hair and textured hair clients.

With celeb and curlfriends clients all across the globe, how does The Curl Doctor Shai Amiel use Quiet Calm Curl Control? Any way he can!

As a Leave In

Quiet Calm has been a very reliable leave in conditioner. It works great with all textures but I find it to be very efficient with dry and coarse hair.”

As a Hydrator

“Its extreme hydrating features really help define curls that have been dried out with previous products that left buildup.”

Alone or in Partner

“Quiet Calm works very well with Innersense Organic Beauty cleansers and conditioners or on its own.”

Try It Post Detox!

“I also recently loved its effect after I removed buildup with Harmonic Healing Oil. It is so rich and light! I’ve used it on all hair textures and found it to be very reliable.”

Thank You Oprah.com!

We formulated Quiet Calm with Certified Organic Shea Butter, Rice Bran Oil and Oat Kernel Extract for smoothing, hydration and protection and a bouquet of Certified Organic Orange Flower Oil and Frangipani Extract for a sense of quiet and calm. While curlies (and Oprah.com!) love it as a nourisher for textured hair, Quiet Calm Curl Control is just as loving on straight hair as a thermal protectant when blow drying! Our cream can also be used to reshape curls and eliminate frizz on second and third day curls. What’s your favorite way to use QC? We’d love to hear from you!

My Hair is super fine and in winter time very electric standing up and flying all over. Would “quiet calm” do
anything for my hair? I am always looking for a product that will give my hair a bit of body, but also cut
the static. I do not use electric dryer as my hair is quite dry, I just let it air dry and put in a few velcro curlers
for a bit of turn. I do not use color, it is pure white naturally, I am 86 but have relative nice hair considering my age.
Also I am always looking for natural hair products. I have too many products sitting on my shelf I am disappointed
    in. Please advise.

Thank you for taking time to comment here, Ulla! We consulted with our Founder and expert stylist Joanne Starkman. Here is what she recommends below. Please keep us posted about her suggestions and how they work for you!

Start with 3-5 pumps of Sweet Spirit Leave-In Conditioner distributed evenly throughout wet hair as this application will give the hair a bit of hydrated body and shine. Quiet Calm Curl Control would be wonderful to use in a very small amount. Start with a pea-sized amount, the size of a pea, emulsify in the hands and apply to damp hair, over the Sweet Spirit Leave-In Conditioner. The Quiet Calm Curl Control will help the hair to smooth over the Velcro rollers while adding a bit more hydration.

Hi, I have chemo curls. It will be a year the end of June since my last treatment. I have let it naturally grow back in color and what a riot of color it has gone through, but I think I’ll keep it :). If I don’t put product on it, well let’s say I look like Bob Dylan. I know chemo curl can up and leave at anytime but for the time being, seeing that other than washing and conditioning with an organic product line and finger fluffing in a texture control wax I leave it be and I love it. Is their a product in this line that would have the sheen and control over the curl that you would recommend?

  • Innersense Tribe says:

Hi Chris, thanks so much for sharing and hurray to you! Your hair is most likely very fine, so you’ll want weightless control. I Create Lift would be perfect for you to tame those Dylan-esque curls. And you can keep the slight cast it leaves, or scrunch it out when your hair is dry. Hope this helps!!!

Thanks for posting this amazing blog. It consists of very useful information. The language you used in this is very simple & easy to understood. Post some more blogs related to “kinky curly hairstyles with bangs”. It would be really helpful for those girls who want to look gorgeous in party or any other function.
