Who We Are
Everyone has their own journey. For Greg and Joanne Starkman, their path was illuminated by their love for family, health and beauty for people and the planet. When the seasoned beauty professionals were learning to navigate busy careers and raising a family with a special-needs daughter, the most memorable advice they received was, “trust your inner sense."
Fueled by passion, personal purpose and a call to service, the visionary couple founded Innersense Organic Beauty in 2005, bringing the highest quality organic ingredients and pure actives to professional hair care.
Innersense Organic Beauty is an award-winning global leader in hair care with a complete range of safe, sustainable, and cruelty-free products that deliver pure performance and salon-quality results. As a B-Corp certified company, Innersense is committed to a path of integrity, transparency and wellbeing for people and the planet.
Senior Site Content Manager
We are looking for a digitally fluent, detail-obsessed Senior Site Content Manager to own the health, performance, and evolution of our ecommerce ecosystem. Reporting to the VP of Digital, you will play a critical role in identifying and closing gaps in the customer journey — improving site experience at the right touchpoints, leading platform integrations, and ensuring our digital channels are consistently optimized for conversion, engagement, and growth.
This is not a purely executional role. We are looking for someone who thinks strategically about the customer experience, brings a UX/UI sensibility to everything they touch, and can translate business needs into technical solutions in partnership with developers and cross-functional teams.
What You'll Do - Roles and Responsibilities
Site Experience & UX/UI Optimization
Own all content management functions within Shopify Plus from page builds and updates to promotional mechanics, ensuring the site reflects current campaigns, product availability, and brand standards at all times
Build and maintain a site experience purposefully designed to engage, educate, and convert, while balancing brand aesthetics with a performance-driven structure
Maintain a seamless site journey across desktop and mobile — with a mobile-first approach to all site decisions
Ensure all site copy is optimized in alignment with current Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices to maximize organic discoverability and search ranking performance
Develop and prioritize a roadmap of site improvements in collaboration with the VP of Digital and site developers
Continuously audit the live site to identify friction points, gaps in the customer journey, and opportunities to improve UX at key touchpoints — homepage, PDP, cart, checkout, and post-purchase
Lead A/B testing initiatives to validate UX hypotheses and improve conversion rate across the funnel
Stay ahead of the evolving AI landscape by applying Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) principles optimizing content to be surfaced and cited by AI-powered search engines, large language models (LLMs), and agentic shopping platforms
Platform Integrations & Technical Ownership
Own and manage integrations across the Shopify Plus ecosystem — including Netsuite, Hubspot and third-party apps and platforms
Partner with NetSuite and Shopify development teams to troubleshoot and resolve order mapping discrepancies with urgency — ensuring order records, customer data, pricing, and fulfillment details remain synchronized across platforms
Collaborate with developers to scope, test, and launch new site features, app integrations, and platform enhancements
Maintain product catalog, pricing, inventory accuracy, and promotional mechanics across the site
Ensure all digital assets are QA'd for accuracy, link functionality, targeting rules, grammar, and brand alignment
Analytics & Performance Reporting
Pull, consolidate, and monitor site performance KPIs proactively surfacing insights and recommendations
Leverage performance data and digital expertise to build and optimize high-converting ecommerce pages across both DTC and professional (B2B) sites
Translate data into actionable site and experience improvements
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with the marketing, sales, creative, and education teams to convert campaign briefs into a structured site content plan with clear timelines and deliverables, ensuring all experiences are built, tested and deployed on time and in alignment with the marketing calendar
Support Email/SMS and Social channels to ensure consistency with the broader digital experience
Communicate regularly with developers, vendors, and agency partners to manage and follow up on project timelines, and deliverables, understanding performance and using those learnings to inform opportunities for growth
Translate complex platform launches and site experience updates into clear, actionable guidance that empowers customer care and sales team to resolve troubleshooting issues quickly and confidently. This involves developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and FAQ documentation
Troubleshoot site issues quickly and effectively, whether it is a broken link, a promotional error, a product catalog discrepancy, or a checkout friction point — owning the issue through to resolution and keeping all relevant stakeholders informed throughout
Support overall cross-functional business strategies and initiatives
Other Duties as Assigned
